Day 92-Kwatsi Bay to Lagoon Cove

I had hoped to spend the night somewhere between Kwatsi Bay and Lagoon Cove, but it’s looking like Saturday will be much better than Sunday for heading south through Johnstone Strait, so I’ll go directly to Lagoon Cove today.

On the trip north I had swung into Lagoon Cove to get gas.  At the time, the owner, Jean, was rather concerned that I was taking such a small boat to Alaska.  I needed gas again, and figured I’d stop by and let her know that I made it safely.
Internet, book exchange, workshop, and happy hour location at Lagoon Cove
Lagoon Cove is a great marina.  Nice docks, power, water, excellent showers.  They’ve got walking trails in the woods and provide fresh prawns for cruisers during happy hour.  Only half a dozen boats were in but it was the friendliest bunch I’ve encountered in the Broughtons so far.  Several of the boats had been in Alaska and were returning, so there was plenty to talk about.  Others were looking forward to cruising in Alaska in the future.  Definitely a worthwhile stop.
